Tophat Thread Cutting tool

$3.50

Made to cut threads into the end of a wooden shaft before installing a Tophat screw-on point or a Tophat screw-on adapter. Shaft does not need to be tapered. The thread cutting tool comes in 5/16" or 11/32” and is designed to be held in the Tophat assembly tool.

To use, secure the thread cutting tool into the Tophat Assembly Tool and place over the blunt end of a wooden shaft. It is best if you’ve already used the Tophat Shaft Shaper to ensure the shaft is the correct diameter. Then twist the Thread Cutter clockwise onto the shaft while gripping the shaft tightly, it sometimes helps to use a jar gripper. Once the thread cutter bottoms out, remove it by twisting it counter-clockwise. You’ll be left with a threaded end to screw your point or adapter onto.
