Tophat Shaft Shaper Set
The Shaft Shaper is used to gently compress the end of a wooden shaft prior to using the Tophat thread cutting tool to install screw-on points or adapters.
Sometimes finish or paint can cause a shaft to be slightly oversized and this tool will bring it back down to the correct diameter.
The set comes with the tool, a 5/16" insert and an 11/32" insert. The tool is held in a drill chuck and then the correct insert is screwed into the tool before running the spinning Shaft Shaper onto the end of the shaft.
